del hoyo trío was formed in Mar del Plata in 2002 by three of the most outstanding musicians of the jazz scene of the city.
With 10 years of uninterrupted activity, they have edited 4 CDs: ' del hoyo trio ', ' vitro ', ' cause and effect ' and ' la declaración '.
In 2005 they received the ' Estrella de Mar ' award for best musical show.
In 2007 they received the ' Lobo de Mar ' award and in 2008 the ' Prize for artistic production ', which allowed them to record their last CD.
In 2009 they traveled to Europe where they presented ' Baraka: the pulse of the image ' (nominated for the ' Estrella de Mar ' 2010) , a show where images from the film Baraka are merged with specially composed music.
In April 2011 they return to Europe making several performances with very good public acceptance.
In 2012 they are winners of the national ' Jazz ensemble ' competition that allowed them to play in the Banfield Jazz Ensemble Festival, one of the juries was the prominent trompellant J. Cruz de Urquiza.
In this same year they received the ' Estrella de Mar 2012 ' award for best musical show.
In 2013 they are winners of the national contest ' Cultural Equality ', a contest organized by the National Government.
They are currently presenting their new show ' Subliminal ', once again being awarded with the ' Estrella de mar ', always within the jazz fusion style.
